»Getting HereMusic Hall of Williamsburg Need directions? No problem. Check below for a variety of different ways to get yourself to the Festival! Since a parking spot is hard to come by, we recommend taking public transportation. For door-to-door directions using trains, buses, or your own two feet, check out HopStop.com. If you're coming by public transportation from outside the city, you can get directions from the major transit hubs (Grand Central Station, Penn Station, Port Authority Bus Terminal etc.) to the Festival venue, your hotel, or anywhere you'd want to go during your trip to the Big Apple. If you'd like advice from a seasoned New Yorker, please visit our Forum and inquire there! From Brooklyn: Take the G train to the Metropolitan/Lorimer stop, transfer to the L train in the direction of Manhattan. Go one stop to Bedford Avenue. Once out of the subway, you'll be on Bedford Ave. and North 7th Street. Walk one block to North 6th Street, make a right and walk two and a half blocks down to #66. We're between Wythe Avenue and Kent Avenue. From Manhattan by Subway & Bus: Take the L train (catch it along 14th Street in the City) to Bedford Ave (first stop in Brooklyn). You'll be on Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street. Walk one block to North 6th, make a right and walk two and a half blocks down to #66. We're between Wythe Avenue and Kent Avenue. Or, take the JMZ to Marcy Ave. Walk two blocks west (toward the river) on Broadway, to Bedford Ave. Catch the B61 bus on the corner and take it to North 7th Street (approximately five minute ride). From Manhattan by Car: Take the outer right hand lane across the Williamsburg Bridge, get off at the first exit (Broadway) and curve around to the right 180 degrees until you're heading back toward the river on Broadway. At Bedford Avenue, the second stoplight, make a right. Go under the bridge (you'll be in the south streets) and continue on to North 6th Street (about 10 blocks). At North 6th Street, make a left and we're two and a half blocks down, on the left at #66. We're between Wythe Avenue and Kent Avenue. Once you're off the bridge, the streets are all small streets with slow, neighborhood traffic, so you'll have lots of time to see street signs and make decisions. From the BQE (West): Take the Metropolitan Avenue exit. At the bottom of the exit, you'll be at a set of lights. Continue straight ahead to the next set of lights. At those lights, take a sharp right onto North 6th Street. We're six blocks down at #66, between Wythe Avenue and Kent Avenue on the left. From the BQE (East): Take the Metropolitan Avenue exit. At the end of the exit, which is the first stoplight, turn left onto Metropolitan Avenue. Drive on Metropolitan for five blocks to Bedford Avenue. Turn right onto Bedford Avenue. At North 6th Street, make a left and continue on it for two and a half blocks to #66. We're between Wythe Avenue and Kent Avenue on the left. »Staying HereNew York is a big city, and no one knows it more than our festival organizers (after all, we hail from almost every part of NYC proper as well as the surrounding suburbs). Therefore, to help those of you who plan to stay in our fair city, we have compiled a list of hotels and hostels that you may want to check out for accomodations. If you want to stay in a hostel, it's important to book ahead. We recommend you use Hostels.com to make a secure reservation. It's also cheaper to book online, as sometimes the prices go up if you book in person. You should also make sure you bring ID with you, such as a Passport or Driver's License as all hostels require identification. Be advised that some hostels are cash only!
